Likewise, the entire BoS in DC use T-45 exclusively. However, the one Paladin who was left at the Pitt is using the remains of a T-45. Therefore, the group under Lyons that set off to DC would likely have been using T-51. Considering T-60 has never surfaced anywhere else, it would make me think that the civil defense (or more accurately, martial law) of the Boston Commonwealth was the only place these suits were used.Ĭonsidering that T-51 is the only suit type seen in 1 and 2, as well as being the main suit used in New Vegas, suggests to me that the BoS primarily use T-51, at least in the west coast. It's almost like they said to the intern 'make it look a bit more better'. Also, the vendor will occasionally stock power armour.įallout 4 introduces the T-60, which by all accounts just looks like a bulkier T-45 to me. I believe the only chance to get T-45 in NV is completing the quests for the Brotherhood of Steel, as you get one as a reward. Considering that in New Vegas, the opposite is true (T-51's are dime a dozen, but good luck finding T-45). In Fallout 3, I believe there are only two T-51 suits, both locked away. Hellfire seems to be the same, which is all around tougher and especially heat resistant, which makes sense as most Hellfire troopers carry flame based weapons. Enclave Power Armour seems to be another attempt by the Enclave at making new Power Armour. I think that the T-45 was the first model of power armour, and had quite a few problems, such as poor power efficiency. Or at least, the X-01 is heavily implied to be the same power armour (loading screen mentions it was made post war by remnants of the US government, and it looks pretty damn similar).įallout 3 introduces the T-45, Enclave Power Armour and Hellfire Power Armour. I think it's generally accepted as the most common power armour, as it replaced the T-45 and was in mass production for longer than the T-60.įallout 2 introduces the Advanced Power Armour, later seen again as Remnants Power Armour in New Vegas, as well as the X-01 in Fallout 4. In this instance, I'm going to be going in game order.įallout 1 has just one type of power armour, later named T-51. Maybe this doesn't make sense at all, but that could be the logic for having the punk-style in Fallout.I reckon I know my power armours pretty decently, but have a few questions. The punks were the children who was born right after the war, and so grew up in the society that was (supposed to be) perfect (the fifties vision of the future), and some say that that's the reason for the punk rebellion, maybe they saw the flaws in this "perfect" society. And the fucking horns?!? Still better than fo3 though Midwestern Power Armour (FOT) Pretty stupid, this is also a bad case of trying to reinvent the wheel. Hellfire Power Armour (Fo3:BS) same as the latter. And I just don't see the problem with keeping the old design.Įnclave Tesla Power Armour (Fo3) Sucks too, they were still trying to reinvent the wheel. T-51b Powered Combat Infantry Armour (classic Fo1) The poll speaks for itself, nothing beats this one, it's magnificent.Īdvanced Power Armour (Fo2) Meh, it's pretty badass, but the "mean" look is abit lame.Įnclave Power Armour (Fo3) Sucks, It looks like they though they had to surpass the ones from Fallout2 and tictacs, and failed. T-45d/T-47 Powered Infantry Armour (Fo3) Crap, looks like someone put on a metal box and stuck his legs through two buckets and a bucket with holes for eyes on the head.
